Description

AED is improving the quality of instruction in schools, increasing the role played by parents and communities, introducing competency-based approaches to student learning, and strengthening the capacity of private and non-formal systems to reach out-of-school youth, especially girls. AED is also assisting in the improvement of school infrastructure, particularly sanitation and water facilities.

To date, the project has rehabilitated a number of primary schools as well as water and sanitation facilities within those schools. AED will also continue to focus on access to basic education for all children in Djibouti but particularly girls.
