The Ethiopia Associate Award will be managed as a cooperative agreement with USAID Ethiopia under the Education Quality Improvement Program, Leader with Associate Award (EQUIP LWA 2).  Management oversight for the project will be provided by AED, which will ensure overall technical and financial integrity and adherence to the terms of the agreement.  AED will also serve as the official conduit for communication between the project and USAID on issues ranging from cooperative agreement modifications to travel clearances, in accordance with the EQUIP2 cooperative agreement.  AED will facilitate an integrated, team approach with USAID, the Ethiopian MOE and the Regional Education Bureaus (RSEBs) and ensure that all program activities are closely coordinated with other donors and implementing partners.  Technical direction of the project will come from the USAID Cognizant Technical Officer.
