Summary

The project aims to transform Equatorial Guinea's education system, focusing on primary education, and to provide children and youth with the skills needed to succeed. During the first five years, hundreds of teachers will be trained, active learning materials will be distributed and modern instructional methods will be developed and adapted by local education professionals to meet school needs.

Initial activities include: development of an active learning program, refurbishment of forty model primary schools, creation of an accelerated teacher certification program, two national quality teaching laboratories in existing teacher development colleges, conducting a policy forum and establishing an education information system.
