This project aimed to improve sectoral strategic planning, management, and decision-making in basic education within the Ministry of Education and to improve instruction in basic education. AED was responsible for all program monitoring and evaluation with the goal of strengthening the Ministry of Education evaluation capacity and supplying EFA (Education for All) managers with accurate information. AED formulated a Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP), developed and refined monitoring and evaluation techniques, trained researchers from the Ministry of Education to collect data, and finally, analyzed and reported on the data collected.
